Some Sheffield United fans are lauding the performances of club’s experienced hero Chris Basham following their draw against Wolves yesterday.
The Blades kept their impressive away run in the Premier League going, as they held Wolves to a 1-1 stalemate. It was Lys Mousset who scored first for Chris Wilder’s men, but it was Matt Doherty who equalised for the home side later.
The Blades are yet to lose a single away game this season, drawing six and winning one game against Everton two months ago.
But some Sheffield United fans are hailing Basham for his performances and his show against Nuno Santo’s men yesterday.
Is Basham Sheffield United's most important player?

Basham, 31, joined the Blades from Blackpool in the summer of 2014. Over the years, he has overseen Sheffield’s rise from the lower divisions to the Premier League this season.
This season, he has played 14 times in the Premier League while playing regularly in the centre-back spot for the club. In the club’s rise to the Premier League, Basham played 41 times in the Championship last season and scored four times, racking up one assist.
During his time at the club, he has played 254 times in all competitions for the club. During this time, he has scored 14 times and has also had a tally of 10 assists as well.
What do we think?
Basham has indeed been immense for Sheffield under Wilder this season. He has won 3.1 aerial duels per game for the club, completing as many as 2.4 tackles per game. He has also made 1.9 interceptions for the Blades and has impressed in central defence.
WhoScored have ranked the player as the sixth-best player in the Premier League, making the third-highest number of clearances per game for the side. He ranks second-highest in the most tackles per game and has been the best interceptor for the side- tied with John Egan.
