After seeing the Scottish League Cup slip away on the weekend, Rangers fans will have felt numerous emotions as the final whistle sounded. Anger at the officiating, regret at the missed chances, and sadness for the defeat itself.
At full time, Ryan Jack couldn’t contain his emotions either. He burst into tears. Some fans didn’t appreciate the outburst, claiming that they don’t understand the impulse to cry in defeat. However, after Heart & Hand shared this sentiment, the account redacted the comment as soon as other fans jumped to Jack’s defence. In fact, many are happy to see that the game meant so much to him.
For me it demonstrates that their heart is in the club and that they left everything on the pitch

Excellent. Ryan Jack is crying because it means that much to him. That works for me

Haven’t seen the discussion. But I think with his injury, and young family, and limping off in the game. I can understand it overwhelming him. I think we can use it as inspiration.

Jack shouldn’t be condemned for an impulsive reaction of sadness given his efforts. However, there’s no doubt they will have laughed about it and it will have given them a position of strength.
Best solution – same effort again on the 29th and finish them off this time.

What do you think about Ryan Jack's post match tears?
Let them out
Keep them in
They point out that his passion seems to eclipse that of other players in previous years gone by. They want to see players caring about the results.
100% behind Jack for showing how much it meant to him. We’ve had too many journeymen of late and Jack evidently puts his heart and soul into it. A few more caring to that degree wouldn’t go wrong (Barker for one!)

I’ve spoke to a few people who have said similar to you and it was more who it was we were up against. I personally think it’s good to see how hurt the players are given the imposters we have had to put up with wearing our colours in recent years.

What do we think?
There will, of course, be many supporters who don’t want to see the player showing any emotion on the field. But while it may show ‘weakness’ it does suggest that the players at Rangers are there to win at all costs. Hopefully, for fans, this feeling sticks with the players until they face Celtic again at the end of the month.
