Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to footage of Virgil van Dijk from the FIFA Club World Cup final.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @The5thRace shared a post on their Twitter page of a clip from Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Flamengo on Saturday. The clip showed Flamengo forward Lincoln marking Van Dijk with a worried expression on his face.
Is Virgil van Dijk the best defender in the world right now?
Yes
No
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who found the footage amusing.

The kids 19 and having to go up against Virgil, I don’t blame him for being scared

Liverpool beat the Brazilian side after a last-gasp strike from Roberto Firmino in extra-time secured the Reds’ title as World champions. But aside from the dramatic late goal, it was the footage of a concerned-looking 19-year-old Lincoln attempting to mark Van Dijk that caught the eye of these Liverpool fans, who were quick to share their amusement on Twitter.
That face is priceless

What do we think?
Given how much of an imposing figure Van Dijk is on the pitch, it comes as no surprise that the teenager didn’t look entirely comfortable with having to mark the Dutchman.
Of course, any 19-year-old in that kind of situation would feel overpowered by the Dutchman, as well as possibly being slightly starstruck.
