Liverpool fans have been pleading on Twitter for James Milner to stay at the club with his current contract running out.
This comes after Liverpool journalist Paul Gorst shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing his views on Milner’s current situation at the club.
The tweet also contained an article from the Liverpool Echo on Milner’s contract.
His post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their own views on the Englishman’s contract situation.
Should Liverpool give James Milner a new contract?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans wanting Milner to extend his contract at Anfield:

Very important member of the squad. Give him a contract. With his fitness level he will be able to offer the same contribution for years to come.
No brainier for me.

Personally would sign him up. He is a highly respected figure in the dressing room alongside Hendo, VVD and Gini a according to Pep Ljinders and VVD.

The 33-year-old’s current contract at the Merseyside club runs out next summer, making him eligible to leave the club on a free transfer. The idea of Milner leaving when his contract runs out did not go down well with some Reds fans who want to see the midfielder stay at Anfield.
Fantastic professional, would be madness to let him go He’s good for another 2 seasons at least #LFC

I would want him to stay at Liverpool for atleast one more season! Hope this situation is sorted sooner rather than later!

What do we think?
Milner, who is currently valued at £13.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), is currently in the top 10 list for most Premier League appearances with 528 (per Premier League), so it comes as no surprise that some Liverpool fans want to keep the midfielder, with his experience possibly proving crucial.
If the club does decide to keep hold of Milner for longer, they will know exactly what he can offer them on the pitch.
