Despite travelling to Qatar with the rest of the squad, Van Dijk did not play in Wednesday’s 2-1 semi-final win over Monterrey. Although. It didn’t look as if the Reds particularly missed him as Jordan Henderson settled into an unusual role at the heart of the defence.
Now with the latest update on his fitness, some Liverpool fans have been tweeting their opinions on the matter.
Man! You better be fit. We can’t afford to miss you.

What do we think?
If the club wants to win the FIFA Club World Cup, they will need Van Dijk to play. But at the same time, if he is not fit, then they can’t afford to risk him furthering his injury. Especially with the hectic run of festive fixtures in the Premier League in the next few weeks.
