A lot of Leeds United fans are concerned about their club’s awful record in London, as Phil Hay reveals just how bad it really is.
The Athletic reporter has released a piece that states that Leeds have only won two games from their last 23 in London.
Will Leeds actually win in London this season?
Yes, they have to at somepoint
No, Brentford and QPR are tough places to go
This has led to many claims from some Whites supporters who are trying to explain why they think their team suffers in the capital.
A few Leeds fans believe that it is the poor referees that they seem to get in London.
Two victories in London from the past 23 visits for Leeds United – a record with no rhyme or reason behind it. Like Stuart Dallas joked, maybe it's the weather.

Shocking refereeing decisions are a big contribution to our poor record in London

Well the last 2 have definitely been dreadful penalty decisions by inept refs!

But sometimes the referee? Millwall and Fulham in particular.#Lufc

Our last 2 trips to London have seen Leeds go a goal down within the first 5 minutes due to penalty decisions that would only be given by either incompetent or corrupt referees.
Could that be a factor?

Other Whites supporters think that their team can’t handle the pressure of playing in London.
We Bottle it..

It’s not funny.

…got me thinking that stat did ?
Most teams up their game against us. London teams I believe go one step further, their mentality is not only to up their game (because it’s lufc) but use the North v South ‘intensity’ level better than us as well?????…2/23 Wow.

Need to sort it as Brentford (where we never win) and QPR ( where we hammered them last season and lost) to come is worth 6 points that we want and need. We lost on Saturday as we were sloppy though.

What do we think?
This record that Leeds have in the Big Smoke is rather unusual and suggests that there are mental blocks for the Whites.
However, in the last two defeats to Millwall (0:30) and more recently, Fulham (0:30) two awful penalties were given against Leeds.
In both of these matches, the Whites lost 2-1, and it is understandable why some of their fans are blaming the official’s decisions.
Leeds still have to go to QPR and Brentford this season, and you would think they would have to win at least one of those to try and put to bed this poor run in London, so the stat certainly doesn’t bode well for the Whites which is why, perhaps, many of the fans find it rather worrying.
