A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to an article about Patrick Bamford from Graham Smyth.
Smyth describes Bamford as “A nice guy off the pitch but a bit of a brute on it.”
The 26-year-old is not prolific for the Whites, but he is developing a reputation for winding up both opposition players and fans, and this is making many Leeds fans come to love Bamford.
Is Bamford one of Leeds' most important players?
Yes, Bielsa loves him
No, he could easily be replaced
A nice fellow off the pitch, a bit of a brute on it.
Patrick Bamford on roughing up the other team and giving opposition fans a little bit back. https://t.co/dCKwcbzQSW#lufc

I love how he winds up the fans, he’s Leeds thru and thru. And yeah he may not be prolific, but how he plays he’s a constant danger. And his fitness and strength has come on loads this season. I think that he will get 20+ goals this season

Other Whites supporters, though, are annoyed that Bamford does not score enough goals.
Got to do something when you play striker and lack the ability to score goals.

Should try a diet of goals !

What do we think?
Bamford has seven goals this season, but they have come in spells – as he did go 11 games without a goal.
However, the way he puts himself about for the team and grafts makes him essential to the way Marcelo Bielsa wants his side to play.
The 26-year-old has the full backing of Bielsa and even though some fans are annoyed at his lack of goals.
He is rated by many of the Elland Road faithful who love the fact Bamford winds up the opposition, and to them seems like he is Leeds through and through.
What summed up Bamford best was his efforts on Tuesday night when he blocked the ball off the line at one end and then raced up the pitch to hit the post at the other. (2:12)
Bamford may not score as many as some would like him to, but no one can question his desire and work rate.
