Some Celtic fans have made it clear that they would hate it if Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes is ever seen by the Hoops as a potential transfer target.
The Hoops recently picked up a 2-1 win over Aberdeen in the Premiership to keep their unbeaten run going and stayed at the top of the Premiership, because of that. Rangers are yet to play their game in hand and it will be played on Thursday.
Goals from Christopher Jullien and Odsonne Edouard proved crucial for the Hoops, as Sam Cosgrove was sent off after scoring a goal. After the game, reports linked Wednesday striker Rhodes to the Hoops.
Celtic fans: Would Rhodes be a good signing?
Not a bad option at all
He's useless
But many Celtic fans aren’t too happy with these links.
Naw, Kieran, he hadn’t scored for Wednesday for about 12 months until last week and he’s slower than and I’m 59

No chance. We need quality and to be honest Rhodes is finished.

Edouard is currently the Hoops’ first-choice striker and has been in impressive form for the club this season. He has found the back of the net a total of 15 times in all competitions, racking up 13 assists and has played 29 games.
As for Rhodes, the former Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town man has played only ten times in all competitions for the Owls this season. He is behind Steven Fletcher in the pecking order, having found the back of the net thrice in the Championship.
Currently 29, Rhodes was at Norwich City last season. He helped the Canaries earn promotion to the Premier League by scoring nine times in all competitions and assisting once by playing 40 games in all competitions.
In his stint at Wednesday, Rhodes has made a total of 65 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 times and assisting four times.
What do we think?
Rhodes could be a very useful signing for Celtic, considering he won’t ask for regular first-team football. Leigh Griffiths though, would have to be sold and that is how Rhodes will become a back-up. If Celtic want to part ways with Griffiths, Rhodes could be their man to replace him.
