Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest fitness update of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
This comes after Liverpool journalist James Pearce shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying quotes made by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp on Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Klopp said that the Englishman “feels okay, but far from perfect” after rolling over on his ankle in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Flamengo in the FIFA World Cup Final.
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were concerned with this latest update.
Will Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain be a big miss for Liverpool?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to Pearce’s post:
Terrible that he’s injured, but also so glad that it’s not his knee again. Fingers crossed he’ll recover soon

The injury came as Oxlade-Chamberlain seemed to have fallen awkwardly before extra-time. Stretchers were soon called to carry the midfielder off the pitch but was deemed unnecessary as Oxlade-Chamberlain managed to walk off the pitch aided by a team physio.
After the match, Oxlade-Chamberlain was photographed on crutches with a protective ankle boot (per BBC Sport).
Pearce’s post on Klopp’s quotes about the injury got a lot of people worried on Twitter.
..get well soon Ox. We need you.

What do we think?
Having struggled with injuries throughout his Liverpool career, it’s a real shame to see Oxlade-Chamberlain pick up another one just as he was getting a good run of form in the team. With Fabinho already sidelined for a long period, Liverpool will need as many midfield options as possible to rely on in this upcoming run of festive fixtures.
