Some Celtic fans have expressed their unhappiness about the performance of their left-back Boli Bolingoli in their recent loss on Sunday.
Celtic lost what was a vital Old Firm derby on Sunday, as they are now only two points ahead of Steven Gerrard’s side, with their fierce rivals also have a game in hand, meaning that a win in that game could see them go to the top of the Premiership.
Bolingoli did start the game at left-back. Odsonne Edouard scored an equaliser for the Hoops after a Ryan Kent goal. But a Nikola Katic goal saw the Gers pick up all three points.
Celtic fans: Should Bolingoli deserve as much regular football as gets?
He needs time
Get Taylor in!
And Bhoys fans are making it clear that Bolingoli isn’t good enough for play for Celtic.
Cmon he’s rank rotten.

Awful player. Can’t defend can’t pass and does nothing of note in an attacking sense, imposter

He’s not anywhere near good enough.

He is atrocious

Positionally hopeless. Couldn’t defend with the ball in front or behind. Possibly Tyler Blackett the only defender in the jersey that’s been worse in recent memory

Bolingoli sorry just not good enough I’d say hes the worst player I’ve seen in a Celtic Jersey since Rafael scheidt. He cant pass cant defend touch is shocking. The huns didn’t even bother when he had the ball. Hes simply not good enough

Bolingoli has been the Hoops’ first-choice left-back so far this season. Kieran Tierney left the club this past summer to join Arsenal and Bolingoli came to the club from Rapid Vienna for a reported £3m transfer fee. Another left-back in Greg Taylor also came to the club from Kilmarnock.
So far this season, Bolingoli has been a regular for his new club. He has played 27 times in all competitions for the Hoops. He has three assists to his name as well. In the Premiership, he has played 14 times so far and has a couple of assists to his name.
Bolingoli has started all three of the club’s last three Premiership games, playing every single minute of these games.
For Rapid last season, Bolingoli had played 42 times in all competitions. He had a tally of two goals and five assists.
What do we think?
Celtic have another proper left-back option, even though Jonny Hayes has been used at left-back sometimes. But Greg Taylor deserves a chance. He is already a Scotland international and with Bolingoli getting criticism, it is time for him to get some gametime.
