These QPR fans were fuming with Joe Lumley after they feel it was down to his poor performance that cost them the points against Hull.
Lumley’s performance against Hull is one the 24-year-old will want to forget; finishing the match with a WhoScored rating of just 5.1/10 and making a mistake that led to a goal, making this was one of the Englishman’s worst showings this season.
The QPR fans were fuming with their goalkeeper during and after the match, here’s what they had to say about Lumley’s performance:
32′ Goal for Hull.
Honeyman levels for the visitors against the run of play.

Please bring back smithies in January !

Anyone who thinks Lumley should start ahead of Kelly are deluded, he costs us so many goals, very poor goalkeeper

How disheartening for the team dominating and then Lumley gifts a really soft goal as he cannot catch a weakly hit ball yet again and now we’re on the back foot. Liability keeper

He cannot carry on being picked, he’s conference south at best.

Would you rather replace Lumley with Liam Kelly or Alex Smithies?
Alex Smithies
Liam Kelly
The 24-year-old has very much been QPR’s number one goalkeeper, playing 19 matches out of the 25 Championship games in total.
You forgot to mention the catastrophic goalkeeping error that gave him the chance!!

What Do We Think?
This is a very tough call for Mark Warburton. If he pulls Lumley out of the team now, it might bring even more attention to this situation. However, Liam Kelly will be ready to step in if needed, but we would be very surprised if he was called in.
Perhaps this is an area that Warburton can look at strengthening in the January transfer window, otherwise, these fans will likely continue to be upset with the goalkeeper situation for the rest of the season.
