Aston Villa fans have been fuming on Twitter over comments made by pundit Robbie Savage on club captain Jack Grealish.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page that included an article from the Birmingham Mail that shared Savage’s comments (via BBC Radio 5 Live).
The former Birmingham City midfielder said that Grealish is “far better” than Villa and should look for a move away from the club.
Should Jack Grealish leave Villa for a bigger club?
Yes
No
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans who did not like Savage’s comments.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans slating Savage for his take on Grealish:
There is nobody better than Villa.

There’s also ‘far better’ pundits than this guy. Only gets air time because of trying to cause controversy. Best not to bite.

Tbf hes right he is much better than us, there isn’t a team in the world he wouldn’t improve. Massive thing is now, we don’t have to sell anymore

He pulverized my phone in contribution on 606 by not letting me talk once I’d said my bit. No come back at all allowed from me then he said Villa would go down and then he’d be laughing. Eventually they did but now he is jealous again and just as childish and controversial.

Grealish has been one of Villa’s star performers this season. In 14 appearances for Villa in all competitions, Grealish has scored five goals and made five assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).
Given how loved Grealish seemingly is at Villa Park, Savage’s comment on a potential exit for Grealish have not gone down well with some Villa fans.

Tv/ radio/ any media: is too good for Robbie Savage.

What do we think?
Whether some people think Grealish is too good for Villa or not, what’s certain is that Dean Smith will be hoping to hold on to the Englishman for as long as possible. Of course, there’s little risk of losing the midfielder at this moment in time as the Villans are playing well and he’s at the forefront of it all, so it would be a slight surprise to see the Englishman ditch his boyhood club halfway through a season.
If Grealish spends a considerable amount of his career at Villa, then he could become a legend at Villa Park.
