Aston Villa fans have been responding to Trezeguet’s latest twitter post after his midweek performance against Liverpool.
This comes after the winger shared a post on his official Twitter page regarding Villa’s 5-0 win in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.
The post also contained four images of the Egyptian in action at Villa Park on Tuesday.
Should Trezeguet start against Southampton on Saturday?

His post then led to a number of Villa fans replying with their views on the winger and his display in the win.

The Egyptian played the entire 90 minutes in Tuesday’s win over Liverpool. During the match, Trezeguet managed to pick up an assist to help Dean Smith’s team sail through to the next stage of the Carabao Cup (per TransferMarkt).
After the game, Trezeguet’s performance caught the eyes of some Villa fans who took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the winger.
You deserved a goal tonight for all your hard work

What do we think?
Of course, Villa fans have every right to joke about Trezeguet not getting in on the act as he had six shots in the game but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Now that Villa have made their way to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, they will now need to focus on keeping their good form up in the Premier League. With Villa currently sitting in 17th place in the Premier League table, they will need Trezeguet to perform consistently from now on.
