Coming off the back of a convincing result and performance against Ross County, Rangers have their sight firmly set on a matchup versus Hearts in the Scottish League Cup semi-final. Hearts are joint-last in the Scottish Premiership with St. Mirren.
But with Hearts in search of a new manager, there is every chance that the team could have a completely different look about them on the weekend. Rangers fans aren’t giving Steven Gerrard and his players any excuses to fall back on though.
One fan, despite giving the players no excuses to underperform, admits that the game might be more difficult than it may appear on paper. Another suggests that Gerrard’s future would be uncertain if he failed to inspire a winning performance.
Exactly no excuses. Hampden hoodoo must end

They have good players, the manager definitely held them back. No question we should beat them but our job just became a bit harder

And of we dont…….. what next for the gaffer?

One fan doesn’t think that Hearts will even have a new manager by the weekend. Others think that a performance akin to that of the one shown at Ross County would guarantee a win, while another has faith than Alfredo Morelos will be the difference-maker.
Surely won’t even have a new manager by the weekend.

What do we think?
Cup competitions always come with a level of uncertainty. But with the fans pushing them and demanding the highest of standards, Gerrard and his team will be aiming to win the game in style. If not, they will have the supporters to answer to.
