Liverpool fans on Twitter have been pleading with their club to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
This comes after Grealish’s impressive performance in Villa’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Monday evening, in which he was ranked as the second best performer on the field, achieving a 7.43 rating (WhoScored).
The Englishman’s performance caught the eye of some Liverpool fans who would like to see the midfielder at their club in the future.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans wanting Grealish to sign:

I’d love to have Grealish at Liverpool, not sure whether he could be tempted away from Villa though #AstonVilla

The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £22.5 million, according to Transfermarkt, earned himself a match rating of 8.3, the second-highest of any Villa player on the pitch (per WhoScored).
Interestingly, Grealish’s performance opened the door for some Liverpool fans to start wishing the midfielder to join Jurgen Klopp’s squad next season.

One fan even stated that the attacking midfielder has a bit of Philippe Coutinho about him. Both players share the same strengths of passing and dribbling (Grealish and Coutinho, via WhoScored), as well as being able to contribute in the final third in the Premier League as Grealish has produced two goals and four assists already this season, while Coutinho managed to produce an impressive 41 goals and 37 assists during his time in the top-flight.

What do we think?
Grealish has been such a significant player for Villa in the past few years. He has already started this Premier League season off with a bang. Indeed, in 13 Villa appearances so far this season, Grealish has scored four goals and made five assists (per Transfermarkt).
If Liverpool could prise him away from the Birmingham club, he could be a top performer for the club in the future, with the Reds currently short of a central playmaker after Philippe Coutinho’s departure last year.
