These Liverpool fans have been gushing on Twitter over Fabinho’s opening goal in their 3-1 win over Premier League Champions Manchester City.
This came after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post containing a clip of the midfielder’s strike.
This then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to show their excitement over the goal.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans praising Fabinho’s goal:

The Brazilian’s goal earned a lot of praise on Twitter but was somewhat overlooked after City were denied a penalty after Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold handled the ball with his arm just minutes before the opening goal was scored. But this controversy did not hinder Fabinho’s wonderful opening goal. The Reds then managed to score another two goals before Bernardo Silva pulled back a consolation goal late on (BBC Sport).
Breath taking, a super strike only found at Anfield YNWA

What do we think?
Fabinho arrived at Anfield in 2018 from French side Monaco for a fee of £40.5 million. This season has seen the midfielder become one of Liverpool’s standout performers having made 17 appearances for the club in all competitions so far (per Transfermarkt).
In all appearances for club and country this season, the 26-year-old has an average of 87% pass success percentage (per WhoScored). These impressive stats and Sunday’s fabulous goal goes to show how important Fabinho has been for Klopp’s side in the search for their first-ever Premier League title.
