According to a statement on Liverpool FC’s club official website, Dominic Matteo “underwent an operation on a brain tumour on Monday and is currently being treated in hospital after coming out of intensive care.”
Matteo played four seasons with Leeds United after joining from Liverpool after eight campaigns with the Merseyside club. The Peacocks broke the news to the fans via Twitter, which resulted in lots of responses from caring fans wishing their former player a speedy recovery.

What Do We Think?
Firstly we are all wishing Matteo a full and speedy recovery. It’s great to see all the fans come out to support their former player. The 45-year-old played a total of 115 matches for Leeds United and then left the club during the 2005/06 season to join Blackburn Rovers.
