Luton Town’s Izzy Brown is in great form this season, currently 5th for assists in the whole of the Championship.
Brown joined Leeds United on loan in the 2018/19 season, however, the deal was not made permanent so Chelsea have loaned him out once again, but this time to Saturday’s opponent Luton Town.
Some of the fans blame Marcelo Bielsa for him not continuing his stay, whereas others are just hoping he doesn’t score against his old club this weekend.
Bielsa on Izzy Brown’s good form at Luton: “I’m happy about that. He was with us and he had very good behaviour here. He’s showing a level he didn’t show with us. I consider this a mistake of mine. At Luton he is able to compete to play matches. We couldn’t give him this.”

No bielsa, not we, you! You could have gave him more game time, he could have settled in and been the player WE know he is. But your terrible team choices and tactics during games kept him out

With the way Chelsea use the loan system, it’s highly unlikely that Brown will be with Luton next season, even though he’s clearly playing well for them, so Leeds fans shouldn’t feel too upset about it.
@TheSquareBall Does this mean Izzy Brown has to look forward to a doorstep apology from Bielsa 10 years down the line as he hasn’t been able to get it out of his head since?

Pretty sure he said some nice things about Lewis Baker before the Reading game last year too. Bielsa just want to say nice things to people

Another mistake by MB.. played the same players too often and we all know what happenes, hopefully MB has learnt from that and its doesnt come back to bite us Saturday.

What Do We Think?
It’ll be interesting to see what sort of reception the 22-year-old will receive from the Leeds United fans. Bielsa has once again taken the blame for something, which really is a sign of a great leader. Luton will likely have a tough time against the Peacocks, so Brown will have to be at the top of his game to stand out against his former side.
