Phil Hay updated fans on how he feels the ‘transfer window is likely to play out‘ at Leeds United this January.
Hay has once again mentioned the potential of a quiet January, which is starting to make fans nervous about a potential repeat of last season.
Leeds failed to gain promotion last season when they failed to beat Derby County in the playoffs, so Peacocks fans will be hoping for a spot in the automatic promotion places this season.
If Leeds fail to spend in January will it cost them promotion?
Yes
No
How the transfer window is likely to play out at Elland Road:
– Nketiah’s future key but Leeds hopeful that Arsenal will let him stay
– Clarke expected to return to Spurs
– Liverpool monitoring White closely
– Meslier set to play if Casilla ban kicks inhttps://t.co/X14x7qTQvy— Phil Hay (@PhilHay_) November 29, 2019
So basically Radz has Learnt nothing from last January

Really struggling to see how nobody at the club can see another quiet January as a very big gamble/risk?
You’d think after going so close last year, and a shambolic January then, that we’d at least sensibly strengthen.

So Clarke goes back and we don’t intend to replace him with another loan ?

Has a team that goes backwards in January ever gone up?

If Leeds lose a few players and don’t intend to replace them, these fans really won’t be happy if results start slipping, as they will want to do everything to avoid a repeat of last season.
So basically no transfers

Last January should be a clear indication of what needs doing……
— Aaron Taylor (@AzzaLufc) November 29, 2019
If we are serious about getting promoted then we must recruit in January.
Not doing so cost us last season.— Sorely (@Samtonked76) November 29, 2019
Jesus how depressing

Quiet? Phil i can hear my heart about to explode
— Thomas (@Leodiensian90) November 29, 2019
if any of them happen . we will suffer big time . cant see replacements as good coming in

What Do We Think?
We are sure that Marcelo Bielsa would love to bring some players in, even if they are just backups for other more senior players. If Leeds United lose Eddie Nketiah then they will have to bring in at least one more striker, whether that be a loan deal or a permanent one, as having just one natural striker is no way near enough for a promotion pushing side.
