Coming off the back of a 4-0 win versus Ross County, Ryan Jack spoke with Rangers TV about the team’s performance. He was cool, calm and collected, just like his on-field performance.
The performance itself saw the Scottsman score a brace in a 63-minute outing. Supporters were understandably excited for Jack, but it wasn’t just the goals that impressed them so much. Fans of the Gers noted Jack’s leadership qualities during the match and suggested that his ability to take over the captaincy is good news for the future of the club
I love youuuu

Showing that you don’t need to have the captain’s armband to be a leader on the pitch. Bossed the game

Doesn’t realise how good he really is. Would love to see him get the armband.

We have a great Captain in Tav. But when he leaves Jack should be in with a shout!

Is the leader, should be the leader, should be wearing the captains armband

Another fan even compared the 27-year-old to Steven Gerrard, suggesting that the manager has had a large impact on the player’s development this season.
Just a young steven Gerard learning from the absolute best

What do we think?
While James Tavernier currently holds captaincy under Gerrard’s regime, Jack could certainly fill the boots should the right-back be voided of his responsibilities. It is unlikely that any major changes will be made right now, but it is something to keep an eye out for in the future.
