Leeds United fans want to make on-loan Brighton defender Ben White a permanent player.
The 21-year-old has impressed fans and maybe even more importantly Marcelo Bielsa, with the centre-back playing 1260 minutes over the course of 14 Championship games – as per WhoScored.
White has an estimated Transfermarkt value of £2.25m, which in today’s market would be very good value for money.
Forshaw on Ben White – “He is unbelievable. He hasn’t shown any sign of making a mistake yet, he hasn’t put a foot wrong. So cool on the ball and clever. He might not be the most physical but he’s just clever. He looks a top, top player and we’re lucky to have him.” #LUFC pic.twitter.com/cgcmj7F60Q

The young English defender has an extremely impressive average WhoScored rating of 7.29/10, which is the third-highest in the Leeds squad.
Victor Orta, take a bow. The thought of replacing Pontus at the start of the season was inconceivable but Ben White has been one hell of an upgrade. Utter class

I seem to remember all the expert fans saying he wasn’t good enough to replace Jansson and now they are questioning Bielsa’s team selection

What Do We Think?
The Englishman is very much a modern centre-back, this can be seen when looking at his pass success rate, which is currently 85.9% on average, according to figures collected by WhoScored.
With White being such a standout performer for Leeds this season, it’s important that they can keep hold of the young defender. However, his parent-club Brighton and Hove Albion are unlikely going to want to see him depart any time soon, as it is believed they have been “staggered” by the 22-year-old’s progress under Bielsa at Elland Road (Football Insider).
