A lot of Leeds United fans were thrilled with Kiko Casilla after he kept his eighth clean-sheet of the season in the 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
Casilla was in outstanding form as he denied the Owls on numerous occasions to ensure that the Whites did not fall to their fourth defeat of the season.
Of course, his performance against the Owls delighted many fans, as can be seen just by looking at their responses after Casilla was announced in Infogol’s Championship Team of the Week:

He’s an excellent keeper when he forgets his dreams of being a centre midfielder! I love kiko! Think he’s also starting to adjust to the English game! His heat map seems to be showing more in his area haha.

Couple of wobbly moments every now and again but when it comes to the big saves, he’s been fantastic this season.

The 33-year-old denied Steven Fletcher and Liam Palmer in the first half with two fantastic saves, and then in the second half, he had to be on his toes to deny Kadeem Harris and then also a header from Atdhe Nuhiu.
The former Real Madrid goalkeeper had a mixed start to his career at Elland Road, but this season, he has established himself as the undisputed number one.
Casilla was superb for the Whites, and many Leeds fans feel lucky to have him with them.
Some amazing saves. Top top draw stuff. Let’s get this fella into the Prem!

What do we think?
Casilla’s Leeds career could have ended after his disastrous performance against Derby County in the play-offs. Instead, though, the Spaniard has had a full pre-season to integrate himself into the team and is proving all of his doubters wrong. Indeed, eight clean-sheets is impressive, and if he continues in this form, then he could put himself up there as arguably the Championship’s best goalkeeper.
