Celtic fans can enjoy more years of golden memories with James Forrest after the player declared his intention to sign a new deal with the club.
The loyal winger today said that he’s set to ‘sign a deal’ with the Scottish champions that adds four more years onto his current stay.

“I think it’s near enough done,” he told Sky Sports.
“Hopefully it’ll be really soon since everything is basically agreed.
“I would like to get it done soon and just focus on playing.
“I’ve always stated that I want to be here at Celtic and the club have been the same.
“Talks have been really positive and it’s near the end so we just sign and then get back to playing games, like I want to do.”

Forrest grabbed a stunning goal for his side in their four-goal victory at Aberdeen at the weekend. The 28-year-old has netted 83 goals in nearly 400 appearances for Celtic since his debut 2010. Signing him for a further four years is a testament to him and his club for their loyalty over the years, in an era where it’s more uncommon for a player to do so.
It is clear the 28-year-old has been an integral member of the Hoops’ squad over the years, and he will likely be key in helping Neil Lennon’s side overcome the challenge of St. Mirren on Wednesday night before they take to the Hampden Park turf and face Hibernian for a place in the Scottish League Cup final at the weekend.
