Fans of Everton have called for Toffees manager, Marco Silva, to start Italian forward, Moise Kean, against Watford.

The 19-year-old striker has not started a game for the Goodison Park club since the 2-0 defeat at home to Sheffield United in late Septemeber.

Since then the former Juventus man has only featured in 36 Premier League minutes for Everton across three substitute appearances against: Manchester City, Burnley and West Ham (via Transfermarkt).

With supporters feeling as though the £36-million rated attacker has not yet shown his worth, Toffees fans want to see their summer signing with a starting spot in tonight’s Carabao Cup clash.

The 19-year-old signed for the Toffees during the summer, in a switch from Juventus which could rise in value to a total of £27.5 million (as per BBC).

For their troubles, so far this term, Kean has returned one assist in nine Premier League outings – seven of which came from the bench.

Having only mustered an average rating of 6.18 for Everton in the league (via Whoscored), fans were hoping to see their Italian striker given a longer run out alongside another of Silva’s unused strikers.

What do we think?

Having arrived at Goodison Park as a fair chunk of Everton’s £108 million summer transfer spend, fans – and perhaps also Kean – will have been expecting a lot more game time, which was on Paul Robinson’s mind (via Football Insider).

However, the Carabao Cup provides the perfect opportunity for Silva to blood his new striker. Indeed, with the Toffees facing Premier League opposition, he can hopefully sharpen him for league action without the pressure of consequences in the table of England’s top-flight.
