COMMENTARY
Some Leeds United fans were up in arms on social media over a report that claimed attacker Kemar Roofe was set to demand a bumper £30,000-a-week contract. Football Insider reported on Friday that the 26-year-old forward wanted a four-year deal and was seeking a contract that would see him be among the top earners at Elland Road. While Roofe did impress in his 2018/19 season by scoring 15 goals in 34 outings across all competitions, it’s fair to say some Leeds supporters weren’t happy over his desired wage. One Leeds fan urged for the attacker to be sold, while another bid farewell. Interestingly one fan who opted to claim that Roofe was worth £30,000-a-week, got so quickly shot down, he probably regrets tweeting. Roofe has one year left on his current deal and you feel if the club don’t reach an agreement in their upcoming talks with him, they may decide to cash in, in order to stop him leaving for free next summer.

He won't get £30k unless Bielsa say he's his numero uno striker! I also think that Roofe isn't good enough if we go up, £30k a week for 3-4 years is very expensive! I'm not that sure that I would give it to him! Who would buy Roofe and what is he worth?

Could get somebody consistent for that a week
