Bailey Peacock-Farrell is set to be recalled to the Leeds United starting line-up for their next match against Millwall, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The regional newspaper claim the Northern Ireland international will come back into Marcelo Bielsa’s XI for the clash at Elland Road on Saturday of next week due to Kiko Casilla’s suspension.

The YEP report Leeds will not appeal against the red card given to Casilla in Saturday’s defeat to Sheffield United, which means he will serve a one-match suspension.

OPINION

Peacock-Farrell has not had a single minute of action for Leeds since the 2-1 defeat to Stoke City on 19 January. Casilla took his place in the starting XI as soon as he had a week’s training with Bielsa’s side behind him, and has not looked in danger of losing the goalkeeper jersey. The January signing from Real Madrid has delivered a series of commanding over the last 10 league games, six of which yielded victories, and has given the Leeds defenders in front of him the reassurance they were lacking when the more erratic Peacock-Farrell was in goal. The academy product, 22, did as well as anyone could have hoped for after being given his chance initially in March of last year. But he is raw and still has much to learn, and there will be concern among the Whites faithful that he could make a major mistake or two against a Millwall side certain to put him under an aerial bombardment.
