Leeds United fans backed Stuart Dallas to the hilt on social media after he ripped into a journalist for writing a totally misconstrued headline about him. While away on international duty with Northern Ireland, the 27-year-old said in an interview with BBC Sport that he has not played as much as he would have liked in recent weeks. Fair enough. Who would be happy with being a substitute since December? Dallas raged after it came to his attention that one Twitter account had linked to an Express headline which provided a completely embellished version of what Dallas actually said to journalists. Naturally, he wasn’t impressed.“Who writes this rubbish? What a load of s*** this headline is. Never once mentioned I wasn’t happy. Absolute clown whoever you are,” Dallas said via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday night. Legions of Leeds fans took to social media to back the player for standing up to those writing about him, and for putting the record straight.

No need for you to respond to these ridiculous headlines but I totally understand why you would. Just another opportunistic derailment attempt at our promotion push. We all know who is in the fight for LUFC and your profile pic tells us all we need to know. #hesleeds #alaw #mot
