Leeds United defeated Reading 3-0 on Tuesday and Adrian Durham shared he was blown away while watching Leeds’ goals.

The broadcaster in particularly heaped praise on Pablo Hernandez and Patrick Bamford and just couldn’t seem to say enough nice words about the Leeds duo.

Durham claimed that Hernandez could easily be dubbed the best player in the Championship while adding that he was in awe of Bamford’s dummy ahead of Mateusz Klich scoring the Whites’ opening goal against Reading.

“I watched the goals this morning and I was blown away, Hernandez is… you could easily say he was the best player in the Championship, I know people will have their opinions but you could say that,” said Durham on talkSPORT (Wednesday March 13th, 17:37).

“Scored two crackers, should have had a hat-trick, Bamford’s dummy for the first goal, I mean that’s the kind of football you make a little noise when you see.

“Awww and it led to a goal, and it was just sensational, the awareness of Bamford to do that, it’s what he is capable of and he needs to do it more but fantastic football from Leeds United.”

OPINION

Leeds were in tip-top form against Reading and it’s easy to see why Durham was blown away. The broadcaster just seemed to run out of plaudits to heap on the team and in particularly was wowed by Bamford and Hernandez. Durham highlighted how Bamford was capable of silky skills such as his flash dummy that he pulled off ahead of Klich scoring, and needed to do it more often. It’s fair to say that Leeds fans would appreciate if the 25-year-old continued to pull out the party tricks, as the attacker is capable of getting supporters out of their seats for all the right reasons. Although they probably won’t like it if Bamford starts doing skill moves in important games and it backfires, as that could see them rage rather than cheer. As for Durham’s claim about Hernandez, surely there are few that would argue about the attacking midfielder being the best player in the Championship. The 33-year-old oozes class and makes the most complicated pass look simple, and that is a true art.
