Many Celtic fans destroyed Jermaine Defoe for his latest display for Rangers after the Gers drew 0-0 with Kilmarnock. The veteran forward played 86 minutes of Rangers’ 0-0 draw with Killie on Saturday and while he didn’t really impress Gers fans, he left Celtic supporters fuming. Several fans of Brendan Rodgers’ side ripped into Defoe for him appearing to dive against Kilmarnock in their opinion, while others just slammed his performance. One Hoops fans even claimed that Defoe had been an absolute passenger for Steven Gerrard’s side on Saturday and it’s hard to disagree. While the experienced forward is still adjusting to life in Scotland, you would have thought he would have made more of a splash than he has. Defoe may have a got a few goals to his name but the way his move to Ibrox was being hyped up, you feel he would have been scoring for fun. Yet in the clash with Kilmarnock, the forward didn’t get in goalscoring positions enough and when he did have chances, he fluffed his lines.
