Leeds United had the opportunity to get one over their bitter promotion rivals Norwich City with a vital win, but that certainly was not the case on Saturday.

The Whites suffered a miserable 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Canaries in what could have ensured they were a step closer to achieving promotion to the Championship.

However, it looked like it was a bad day at the office for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, with Norwich pretty much outdoing them in every department.

One player who had a particularly bad day at the office is striker Kemar Roofe, a name you would not expect to spring up in a negative fashion.

He has been a saviour for Leeds this season with 14 goals under his belt, but he just could not get going on Saturday, something which would have been of major concern to Bielsa.

The 26-year-old was a shadow of himself, and he needs to step up the plate as soon as possible.

Quite honestly though, where has the prolific Roofe gone? He was nowhere to be seen at the weekend, and fans will no doubt be praying that he is found before their next clash.

He was busy for the entirety of the afternoon, but most of his efforts amounted to nothing, and that is the one thing that Leeds did not need when playing the likes of Norwich.

Roofe does need to be careful though, as the likes of Patrick Bamford are lurking in the shadows – he scored their consolation goal and will definitely want to be hot on Roofe’s heels from now on.

The supporters know that he is a lot better than he has been playing recently, so they will certainly be frustrated at the moment.

Either way, it is clear that the attacker needs to improve, as this is simply not good enough from him – otherwise the axe will be beckoning.
