Many Leeds United fans will surely be worried about the effect Marcelo Bielsa’s intense style may have taken on their team after hearing Liam Rosenior’s remarks after their side lost 3-1 to Norwich City.

The Sky Sports pundit was on the brink of saying we told you so in a reference to all the football experts that claimed Leeds were at risk of dropping the ball in February or March due to the players having played to such an intensity throughout the season.

“I think you would be very worried if you were any side going through that period of results you’d be looking at them thinking we can do better, this is one of the things we said at the start of the season about Marcelo Bielsa..,” said Rosenior on Sky Sports Football (Saturday February 2nd, 19:51).

“We said outstanding coach, genius, he’s done an incredible job so far at Leeds but we said come February/March is there going to be a tailing off in terms of intensity that he wants his players to work at and today for me, if I’m looking at those last 20 minutes there was only one team who looked their strongest in terms of their fitness and energy and that wasn’t Leeds, that was Norwich as they were simply outstanding.”

It’s hard to disagree with Rosenior’s comments as several Leeds player did look tired and off the pace against Norwich City, as they were practically beaten to every loose ball.

Norwich just seem to have energy to burn whereas as Rosenior said, in the last 20 minutes of the game, there were several Leeds’ player who looked like their tanks had run out of juice.

Given that several pundits fear that Bielsa’s philosophy to work his players very hard in order to get the best out of them, could catch up with then surely Whites fans are fearing that everyone was right to issue that warning.

As Leeds attacker Kemar Roofe revealed in a recent interview with The Sun the players are “usually in every day apart from Sunday” to train and that may be a little too much for some, even if it improves some players in the short-team.

Also when you consider that Leeds no longer sit top of the Championship after their recent defeat, surely Whites supporters are worried.
