Many Leeds United fans will be excited over the thought of seeing Izzy Brown move closer to featuring in the first-team after a report shared he may make the squad for the clash with Swansea City.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported that the while the 22-year-old attacker may feature for Leeds’ U-23s against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, he could instead be given the day off in order to prepare to face the Swans.

The newspaper claim that Brown was given hope of making his long-awaited senior debut for Leeds when being part of the squad to face Middlesbrough and appears to be on the verge of breaking into Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team plans.

While the rarely-seen attacker has endured a terrible time with injury and has been made to wait to feature for Leeds’ first-team as a result since joining Leeds on loan from Chelsea, the anticipation from lots of fans to see him perform is well and truly there.

This is because Brown has been excelling for the U-23s ever since being fit enough to feature for them and this hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The playmaker has scored four goals in his last four outings for them, and he could be the creative spark Bielsa needs to add to his team to keep them charging towards the Premier League.

Leeds’ form has been a disappointing rollercoaster ride as of late and they need fresh blood injected into their team where possible in order to get positive results back flowing again.

Given that Brown featuring, even from the bench, could do that and the fact he does seem like a promising talent, than many Leeds fans will be excited over the fact there’s a chance he could make the squad for the clash with the Swans.

They will also be particularly buzzing over the idea as he is more likely to perhaps get some minutes against Swansea City if drafted into the squad after making the trip to Middlesbrough last weekend.
