OPINION

When Leeds fans saw a tweet from their owner pop up on their timelines starting with the words, ‘Welcome to Leeds’ they could be forgiven for thinking Radrizzani might be announcing an exciting new signing. Sadly not, from their perspective. However, the arrival into the city of a rapidly growing media firm could be useful for the club in the medium and long term. There is a growing sense that Leeds the football club and the city are on the march. With 3,000 employees divided across a number of offices in the UK and overseas, DAZN is growing rapidly. As Radrizzani has found with his own Eleven Sports digital media company this season, that does not always equate to financial success. But Leeds need valuable commercial partners who can help their own growth, especially as they look to take the huge step from the Championship to the Premier League.
