COMMENTARY
Leeds defender Aapo Halme was handed a rare chance to feature against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup on Sunday and certainly made sure fans remembered him. The centre-back transformed into a fox in the box, as one fan below described him, got himself a goal against QPR and his overall performance was solid. While one Leeds fan shared their praise for him in spectacular, and hopefully cheeky, fashion by tipping Halme for the Ballon D’Or award, it was a fun way of showing how impressed they were with the centre-back. The 20-year-old, aside from Sunday’s display, has only featured four times for the Whites so lots of supporters were clearly keeping an eye on him to see how he fared. At times Halme may have been a little eager to make a challenge, which could have seen him penalised, but aside from that he looked a very composed presence. The defender certainly did his part for Whites even though he was subbed at half-time and he would have been disappointed that the Whites ended up losing the match 2-1.

Shackleton brilliant. Davis isn’t doing great. Alioski good. Harrison decent. Roberts very good. Ayling I’m control. Halme looks impressive. Baker not done too much but is doing alright

Three big positives so far for #lufc : Clarke continues to look like the real thing; BPF playing really well; a goal for Halme.

Halme with a finish that Noel Hunt would have missed. We’re moving in the right direction as a club.
