Celtic must get pulses racing by borrowing the services of Liverpool midfielder Rafael Camacho as he could be exactly what they need to succeed in the second half of the season.

The 18-year-old, who can play on either flank as well as an attacking midfielder, is yet to feature for the Reds’ senior team but his promising reputation proceeds him.

Camacho has tricky feet, blistering pace and creative vision that has seen him involved in 15 goals in 15 outings for the club’s youth teams this season.

The dazzling teen talent could be the exciting spark that not only boosts Celtic’s firepower but also excites fans as he is the sort of talent who can get supporters off their seats.

While Camacho is clearly talented due to the Reds’ immense squad he has only been able to make the bench in two Premier League games this season, which is impressive given his age, without making it on to the pitch.

According to Liverpool Echo Camacho is very much in-demand in January as Sporting Lisbon have made an attempt to borrow his services and a number of Championship clubs have also enquired about his service.

However given that Rodgers could easily accommodate him in his squad and give the teen the regular senior football that Liverpool would no doubt like to see, they could win the race for him if they joined it.

Rodgers also no doubt has some Anfield connections that he can utilise to ensure that Camacho ends up at Celtic ahead of somewhere else, and this could give the Scottish giants an edge in the race for him.

Therefore given the fact that Camacho could bolster Celtic’s attacking options, particularly midfield, and the fact it’d be no surprise to see the Reds loan him out, the Hoops must successfully borrow the player in January.
