Ian Harte has taken to Twitter to reveal that he has re-signed Leeds United sensation Jack Clarke as a client.

The United legend is an established agent and has a number of Leeds players in his stable of players including rising star Clarke, who has broken into Marcelo Bielsa’s first team in recent weeks.

Harte revealed on Monday evening that he is “delighted” to re-sign Clarke in a message alongside a picture of the smiling pair.

OPINION

The poorly punctuated message from Harte has had some Leeds fans fretting that the 18-year-old attacking could be resigning. But the new agreement with the former left-back comes at a key time in the career of Clarke, who has been linked with Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea in recent days following his breakthrough into the first team at Elland Road. Marcelo Bielsa has used Clarke as an impact substitute in recent weeks and hailed the youngster’s contribution, claiming he can become a “big player” for the club. Certainly, the winger is a hugely exciting talent with the skill-set and potential to do major things for the club where he has risen through the ranks. Pressure will grow on the Leeds hierarchy to reward Clarke’s progress with a lucrative contract to replace the first professional contract he signed on his 17th birthday in November of last year. The jet-heeled youngster is progressing fast.
