COMMENTARY:
Verdicts on Brown’s first match since he broke down with a cruciate knee ligament injury while on loan at Brighton in January varied, according to fans, between “confident” and “quiet”. Leeds lost 3-0 as the Under-23s continued their recent poor run after beginning the day second in the division. The bigger picture is that Brown got a much-needed 45 minutes of competitive-standard football and minutes in legs that have spent the last 10 months undergoing gruelling rehabilitation and recovery. Giving his lengthy spell on the sidelines, it is likely to be many weeks before Brown is in contention to make his return to senior football, especially given the physical demands that Marcelo Bielsa places on his players. The Argentine will not hand former Rotherham, Huddersfield and Brighton loanee Brown his first game in a white jersey unless he is fully fit and in the shape needed to adapt to his intense playing style.
Decent first 45 minutes for Izzy Brown. He's looked confident, mobile and put an excellent ball in for Clarke towards the end of the half #lufc https://t.co/rcKCQsI4kb

Quiet game – obviously being cautious on first run out

The game passed by him for the first 25 minutes few good touches. When he did get the ball he looked to switch play and be very direct with the ball. ??

Fair enough that, a long time out, doesn't want rushing back #lufc
