James Forrest played a starring role for Scotland in their 4-0 thrashing of Albania on Saturday, and many international fans have taken to Twitter to rave about the Celtic winger.
Forrest bagged a double on the day with Steven Fletcher and Ryan Fraser also on the scoresheet for Alex McLeish’s side, who kept alive their hopes of promotion in the UEFA Nations League.
The Celtic forward has now attracted the plaudits of a section of fans on Twitter, with many singling out the Hoops star for praise after his display on Saturday.

These fans were obviously left impressed by Forrest’s display against Albania, and it is easy to see why. The Celtic winger was at his very best for Scotland on Saturday as he terrorised their opponents’ defence with his pace and direct running. Forrest is on course to have the best season of his life for Celtic, and it is good to see his domestic form carry on to the international stage. Forrest has really come of age over the past couple of seasons for Celtic, and it is only right that Scotland are reaping the rewards of that as well. A win in their final Nations League game guarantees promotion to Group B, and that will be a boost for McLeish’s men after what has been a tough year or so. Forrest will once again be key for Scotland if they want to beat Israel in that game, and if he puts in a similar performance then they should come through with a win.
