BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton has been drooling over Celtic following their 5-0 demolition of Dundee on Wednesday night.

He explained how it was just too easy for the Hoops to secure the victory on their travels, with the likes of Tom Rogic, Scott Sinclair, James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie all contributing to the scoreline.

Sutton now claims that the rest of the league must fear Brendan Rodgers’ men after this convincing result, as the players are just “growing in confidence” with every match.

“It was really emphatic…[it was just] too easy for Celtic,” he told BT Sport.

“They are growing in confidence, and the rest of the league now must be really wary of Celtic and rightly so”.

OPINION

Sutton is right – the rest of the league must be wary of the Hoops following yet another convincing win for them over Dundee. They thumped Hearts 3-0 on Sunday in the Betfred Cup semi-final, and by the looks of it, another treble could be on the cards for Rodgers. The way they have managed to register two impressive victories back-to-back should really be admired – and there is no doubt that they will secure the league title at the rate they are going. Celtic will no doubt be favourites in the League Cup final against Aberdeen, meaning that this season could be yet another successful one for the club. Like Sutton pointed out, the Hoops are just growing with confidence every time we see them play – all they need to do now is improve their form in Europe. Nevertheless, they deserve all of the praise that they can get at the moment.
