OPINION
What a boost for Leeds, Chelsea and Brown himself that he is ready to finally play a meaningful match for the first time in 10 months. It has been a long, hard road to recovery for the attacking midfielder, who suffered the dreaded ACL injury while in a previous loan spell at Premier League outfit Brighton. He was signed on a season-long loan by United in late August, but has yet to play for his temporary employers and has spent the last three months in rehabilitation. That now appears to be completed, and the 21-year-old can now take serious steps to getting match fit and in contention to play for the Championship promotion hopefuls. Brown has showed in the past that he can make a big impact in England’s second tier after eyecatching loans at fellow Yorkshire outfits Rotherham and Huddersfield, including in their promotion-winning campaign of two seasons ago. Leeds fans will be keeping close tabs on how he gets on today.
