A section of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on striker Alfredo Morelos’ performance in the 4-1 win against Hamilton on Sunday.
The Gers netted at the Hope CBD Stadium through Ryan Kent after a quiet period in the first half, with Morelos providing an excellent ball to the 21-year-old, who chipped the ball over the Hamilton goalkeeper.
Steven Boyd secured an equaliser with a stunning long range effort, but two penalties within minutes of each other from James Tavernier secured victory, Morelos adding to the scoreline in added time.
Some Rangers fans were more than pleased with the performance of Colombian attacking dazzler, with many comments including “the difference in Morelos from last season is massive”.

OPINION
It is not surprising that the Rangers fans have heaped praise on Morelos here. After latching onto to some poor possession from Hamilton, he provided a superb through ball to set Ryan Kent up, who chipped the keeper magnificently. The Gers needed to win this game if they wanted to keep pace with the rest of the pack in the league, and because of some brilliance from Morelos, they have just achieved that. Like on fan pointed out, the difference from Morelos from last season is startling – and Steven Gerrard will hope that he can maintain the excellent form shown here for the remainder of the season. It is safe to say that Rangers were pretty poor in the first half leading up to the goal – but the supporters here have obviously counted their lucky stars that Morelos has popped up with a sudden piece of magic.
