Pleasant surprise that line up isn't it? Didn't think Coleman would even be in the matchday squad, Gueye being fit is a massive boost and very intrigued to get to see Gomes finally. Shame Zaha is fit for them but keep him contained I really don't see them hurting us. #EFC

OPINION
It is not a shock that many of the Everton fans are singing Andre Gomes’ praises upon the news that he is starting against Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Toffees’ supporters having been waiting a while to see their summer recruit in action, and they will finally get their wishes today. It remains to be seen why Marco Silva has taken so long to give Gomes a run out, but it is a shame that Tom Davies has had to be dropped from the midfield as a result. As one fan pointed out, if Gomes performs like he did for Valencia, then all of the fans could be in for a real treat at Goodison Park on Sunday. Hopefully he does not bow to the pressure, as that is the last thing that the fans would want. Nevertheless, the supporters here seem excited to see their summer signing in action – and who can blame them?
