Andrea Radrizzani is set to back Marcelo Bielsa by funding a sensational Leeds United triple January signing spree, according to Football Insider.

The reliable site claim United owner Radrizzani is willing to support the manager by recruiting a new striker, winger and centre-back in the mid-winter window.

Football Insider report Bielsa has outlined the three areas of the team he wants to improve in the New Year as Leeds prepare plans to step up their promotion push.

OPINION

Should Leeds be well placed for promotion, either automatic or otherwise, in January it would be a dereliction of duty if Radrizzani did not sanction a major January transfer drive. Certainly, there must be plenty of cash left in the kitty after United’s only permanent summer arrivals were Patrick Bamford and Barry Douglas for a combined £10million. They were joined by four loanees, only one of whom, winger Jack Harrison, has been regularly used. The others have only been seen in the League Cup or, in the case of Izzy Brown, through occasional social media updates. Leeds are certainly short of cover in key areas of the team, and even Bielsa admitted on Thursday that the squad is stretched to its limited by the current injury crisis. Centre-back, centre-forward and left-wing cover of quality would go some way to righting the wrongs of the summer window that even Argentine alchemist Bielsa is unable to hide.
