Leeds United will more than likely need to revamp their goalkeeper options this summer with Felix Wiedwald reportedly heading for the Elland Road exit doors just a year after he was signed.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on Monday that the 28-year-old is closing in on a return to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer with Leeds open to approaches for the goalkeeping flop.

That means that newly-appointed Elland Road boss Marcelo Bielsa will need a replacement goalkeeper as Andy Longeran could also be on his way way given how little he played for the Whites last season.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell could be the number one for Leeds next term, but one player that Bielsa and Victor Orta should be looking at is Manchester United’s Dean Henderson, who is attracting plenty of attention after a stunning season on loan at Shrewsbury.

Henderson, 21, kept 19 clean sheets in 48 appearances across all competitions for the League One club and the Daily Mail has now reported via their live transfer blog on Monday [12:04am] that Sheffield United, Stoke and Bristol City are interested in snapping him up on loan from the Premier League giants.

It is understood that Leeds’ Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United have made approached Man United with a firm enquiry about signing Henderson – and Bielsa and Orta must look to hijack their move and snap up the 6ft 2in (transfermarkt) colossus for themselves.

With Henderson and Peacock-Farrell in the squad, that should be Bielsa’s goalkeeper options sorted for next season, offering him two youthful options that will more than cover for one another if there is an injury or suspension.
