Premier League new boys Cardiff have held talks with Liverpool about a second loan deal for midfielder Marko Grujic, according to Goal.

The news outlet claims that London club Fulham have also made contact with the Reds, asking to be kept informed of any developments regarding the 22-year-old’s immediate future at Anfield with him available to move out on loan this summer.

It is understood that Serie A giants AC Milan and Lazio are looking to sign the Serbia international on a permanent deal.

The Daily Star has reported that Grujic earns £15,000-a-week in his deal at Liverpool.

Good move for Liverpool?

Grujic, at 22-years-of-age, should be playing regular football by now and it does seem that his immediate future is best served away from Merseyside as there’s no way he will get into Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans next season.

It would definitely be best to try and get him to stay in the Premier League, so loan moves to both Cardiff and Fulham should be the ideal choice for Klopp and the midfielder himself.

Neil Warnock got the best out of Grujic in the Championship last term, so it will definitely be a good move for Liverpool to send him out on loan again to potentially boost his value for a future transfer.

Likely to happen?

Due to the strength in depth that Klopp has in midfield, Grujic would probably only earn a handful of appearances should he stay at Anfield next season.

Sending him out on loan seems very likely and it is understood that Cardiff are leading the race and have held talks with Liverpool already.

It would be a surprise to not see him back in South Wales this summer.
