Lucas Moura made his first Premier League start in the draw against Brighton on Tuesday night – and Tottenham fans on Twitter were pleased by the quality of his performance.
The 25-year-old attacker sparkled on the wing with his speed and dribbling before being substituted off in the second-half.
Spurs earned a point at the Amex Stadium after a 1-1 draw and moved eight points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea in the league.
Harry Kane opened the scoring early in the first-half to chalk up his 26th league goal of the season, but Brighton playmaker Pascal Gross equalised quickly from the penalty spot.
Mauricio Pochettino did manage to give some rest to a few key players in the midweek league clash and all eyes will now turn to the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend with Manchester United.
Spurs fans on social media decided to single out Moura for his positive display and feel he made a great impact when promoted to the starting XI.
The right-winger is yet to make a serious impact at the North London club since his January arrival from Pairs Saint-Germain and has had to be patient waiting for an opportunity.
He impressed supporters with his efforts against Brighton, but competition for places in the attacking positions is fierce.
