Leeds United fell to yet another Championship loss on Tuesday night as promotion-chasers Fulham ran out 2-0 winners at Craven Cottage, and fans have taken to Twitter to slam the display of Gjanni Alioski.
It was always going to be a tough ask for Leeds to take anything from an away clash against the division’s in-form side, which was illustrated in the match odds at scommesse24.net, but the Whites managed to hold out during a frantic first 30 minutes.
Fulham then took the lead rather fortuitously when Aleksandar Mitrovic’s downward header struck the unaware Kevin McDonald and nestled in the corner.
Leeds striker Caleb Ekuban then had a clear-cut chance to equalise just after the hour-mark when he was played through on goal, but the youngster could not finish past the advancing Marcus Bettinelli.
Fulham then went up the other end and sealed the three points through the brilliant Mitrovic, who slotted home after the ball was played perfectly into his path around 12 yards out.
The defeat leaves Leeds in 13th in the Championship table, with Fulham strengthening their grip on a play-off place in third.
Fans took to Twitter after the game to slam the lacklustre display of 26-year-old winger Alioski, who was withdrawn from the action in the second-half for Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
