Celtic fans on social media heaped praise on goalkeeper Craig Gordon for his performance during the 4-0 win over Rangers on Sunday.
The Hoops cruised to a comfortable victory against their bitter rivals in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, with Tom Rogic, Callum McGregor, Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham all getting on the scoresheet.
However despite their side’s attackers being in top form on Sunday, fans opted to praise their goalkeeper instead.
During the second half of the match, the Gers threw everything they could at the Hoops’ goal and forced Gordon to make several impressive saves in order to keep his clean sheet intact.
One fan tweeted that the 35-year-old goalkeeper turned on the style during the match, while another claimed that he must haunt Gers forward’s Alfredo Morelos dream as he keeps denying him from scoring against the Hoops.
Gordon has recently returned to the Bhoys’ first-team after being on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The veteran goalkeeper has made 41 appearances across all competitions this season, keeping 23 clean sheets in the process.
Gordon has been at the club since 2014 and is contracted to stay at Parkhead until 2020.
