Tottenham best XI v Manchester City

|

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – Lloris is the clear choice in goal for Spurs despite his two mistakes recently. Retains his place.

Kieran Trippier (Right-back) – Serge Aurier started against Stoke and did well, but assist king Trippier must be restored for this one. The England international had a torrid time against City earlier this season, but he is the better option for Spurs on Saturday with his pinpoint crossing. Trippier for Aurier.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – Sanchez has been nothing short of brilliant for Tottenham this season considering the Colombia international is just 21 years old. Must start as usual alongside Jan Vertonghen. Retains his place.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Vertonghen has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season, and must start alongside Sanchez as normal on Saturday. Retains his place.

Ben Davies (Left-back) – Davies has overtaken Danny Rose as Pochettino’s preferred left-back, and rightly so. The Wales international offers far more solidity than his counterpart, and he will play on Saturday with Rose injured again. Davies for Rose.
