For the fourth time this season and the second time at the Camp Nou, Champions-elect Barcelona will take on third place Valencia. After imploding in the Champions League, Barcelona will look to keep their unbeaten domestic season alive as they also keep one eye on the Copa del Rey final a week from Saturday.

Barcelona are unbeaten this season in La Liga and, especially after a disappointing loss to Roma, will look to continue this league form. In their three games against Valencia so far this season, with two coming in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, they have two wins and a draw. Unsurprisingly then, the Barcelona vs Valencia betting odds are hugely in favour of the Catalan side. With Messi having a very strong domestic season, it’s no doubt that if he is available and at his best this will be a very tough game for Valencia. However, the tough loss to Roma will be on their mind and if Valencia can pressure them enough they can really make them uncomfortable.

Valencia are in a fine run of form, with 8 wins in the last 9 games. Rodrigo is Valencia’s leading goal scorer with 15 goals and his goals have won 16 points, more than anyone else in La Liga. This season has been a huge improvement for Los Che, who already have 19 more points so far this season then they had all of last season. Sitting in third place, they will hope to pick up more points to stay ahead of Real Madrid.

This is probably the best time to play Barcelona, they have an 11-point lead in La Liga and have just been dumped out of the Champions League. If Valencia can use their confidence from their previous 8 wins to put pressure on Barcelona, they might be able to take a well-deserved point. However, if Messi and the rest of Barcelona want to make up for their loss, they are very well able to punish Valencia. I predict that both teams will fight and both will walk away with a point in a 2-2 draw.
